I love to use snowy pinecones, snowy branches, and snowy greens for decorating during the holiday season. Making snowy pinecones are super easy, the directions are so simple that you’ll have no trouble making them. In the video I share some helpful tips & then you’ll be ready to get started!
Watch this short 5 min. How-to video and see how easy to tuck finished snowy pinecones, into several of my holiday arrangements!
- Pinecones – new or found or old ones, that need perking up
- White paint – dollar store 🙂
- Disposable sponge paint dabber – dollar store 🙂
- Green floral wire – craft store
- parchment paper – for your work surface
Directions & Tips:
Lay pinecones on parchment paper. Shake your paint well.
Dab sponge into paint and lightly dab just outside edges of your pinecones.
When dry, they’re ready to use!
Optional: I show in the video, how I wrap a floral wire around bottom of pinecone and then they can easily be tucked into arrangements or used in bowls, vases or tins mixed with greens, strands of berries and even a strand of fairy twinkling lights. You’ll see several arrangements I tuck mine into at the end of the video above!
Below are two of my favorite arrangements to use them in year after year:
Mine are outside all winter and they hold up wonderful!
Happy Holiday decorating!
