My youngest daughter and I, sewed up some small Quilted Pillows in festive Fourth of July patriotic fabrics to set on my front door bench.
We just used up scrap pieces of fabric, I had on hand and got creative cutting and sewing them up. We added some buttons by hand and they were done.
I did most of the cutting and she sat at my machine and did all the sewing. She is just learning to quilt and has gotten quite good at sewing, so it was a fun to make these together. I didn’t use any pattern, I just cut strips from red fabrics and strips of blue, and white prints and made it work.
We used leftover denim for the backs and the edges. We took some fluff out of an old couch pillow I had saved in the sewing room for such a project as this 🙂 We made some for the inside bench and the front porch bench in just a single afternoon. They’re cute and festive and were basically no cost 🙂 A perfect craft for adding a lil red, white and blue decor for the summer! What do you have in your craft cupboards you could pull out and use:)
Happy Fourth of July!
Annette
